I recently sat in a webinar that provided valuable insight to getting and keeping sales. The idea was to turn your prospects into customers and your customers into clients. It was noted that it usually takes 9 attempts at contacting a customer, in various styles, for them to even remember or acknowledge you. Most sales people give up after 3 tries. This shows me that you need to consistently be in front of your customers. You can do this by a direct mail piece, sending an email, a phone call or any other creative way to get you name/company in front of them. People don't want to be sold, most sales are results of relationships and trust. Take some time to research your prospect/client/customer so you can identify with their industry, company history, and even tap into a buyers personal likes. A little background and understanding will take you a long way.
