Look back 15 years ago, the www was emerging and people had mixed feeling about it's future success.  Today the internet is one of, if not the main communication and information tool we have at our hands.  Most times before someone will visit or call a place of business they will go to the internet and look them up.  It's not enough to have a website anymore, social networking sites are booming.  People are out on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn - to name a few of the most popular sites- looking for your business to connect with.  All of these sites build relationships and the business will then follow.  If you are only fishing for sales on these sites, you will not receive the same results as if you would take the time to build a realtionship.  Every site has a way to send direct messages to any one of your approved connections so you can talk on a more personal level.  Keep in mind it may take a little bit to build a network base, but it is guaranteed it will keep growing and the Social Media sites are only going to increase in popularity.  Jump on this bandwagon, who knows if this ride will end!
